Tiny Sparks - TREC Workshop

On January 31, 2026, early childhood educators gathered for the Tiny Sparks – TREC Workshop to explore storytelling through the lens of STEM and art. Using both Project Learning Tree and Tiny Sparks resources, participants engaged in hands-on lessons inspired by nature, science, and imagination.

Educators explored three creative learning themes: Magnets (Magnetic Max and the Mystery of What Sticks), Moths (Moths take the Spotlight), and Saguaros (Saguaro Seed Adventures). Each lesson blended storytelling, a science investigation, and an art activity to deepen understanding through play and creativity.

From painting and printmaking to shared laughter and meaningful conversation, the day celebrated the power of creative learning to spark curiosity and connection in young minds.

A heartfelt thank-you to our partner Tucson Regional Educator Collaborative (TREC), and to Helios Education Foundation and all who helped make this experience possible.
